Updated: Friends of Slain Beachwood Nurse Organize Awareness Walk

The walk and balloon launch is set for May 12, 2013 at 3 p.m.

Friends of the slain Beachwood nurse have organized an awareness walk and balloon launch for this Sunday, May 12.

The walk to remember her is set for 3 p.m. and friends and supporters are asked to meet on Penshurst Drive across the street from Hilltop Elementary School. It will conclude at the Cleveland Clinic on Cedar Road. Strollers and pets are welcome.

It has been six weeks since the fatal stabbing of Beachwood nurse Aliza Sherman in downtown Cleveland.

In that time,  for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of her killer.

The Cleveland Police Department have posted a security camera video that shows someone fleeing from the crime scene and asked for help identifying the person.

However, no suspect has been identified or arrested as of yet.

To that end, friends have started the Justice for Aliza Sherman Facebook page, which encourages people to share any pertinent information they may have with the Cleveland Police.

In the six weeks since her March 24 death, the page has accumulated more than 1,800 likes.

The page also posts links to news stories about Sherman's death and the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to call the CPD Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464.
