The Gathering Place, which has locations in Beachwood and Westlake, recently gave away its 1,000th free wig, <a href="http://www.cleveland.com/healthcare-savings/index.ssf/2013/05/the_gathering_places_offers_fr.html#incart_river_default" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">reported The Plain Dealer</a>.  There are two <a href="http://www.touchedbycancer.org/hairpeace-wig-salon-2/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">HairPeace Wig Salons</a> - one in each of The Gathering Place's locations.  Call ahead and make an appointment to make sure somebody's available to help you, and the organization recommends bringing a friend with you -- to help you pick a wig or two. The wigs are available to women who have experienced hair loss from a cancer treatment.
