Man Jumps Store Counter to Flee Police After Reporting Stolen Cell Phone
Beachwood Police arrested the man, who called them to report a stolen cell phone

A man was arrested and charged with obstructing official business and fleeing from police because officers said he struggled with them after he called them to report a stolen cell phone.
Beachwood Police said that the man was working at a cell phone kiosk in the Beachwood Place Mall April 13 around noon when a cell phone was stolen. Police responded to take a report and, when the officer returned to his car and ran the man's name, he found that the man was wanted on an active arrest warrant.
He had left the mall when the officer returned to the kiosk, but his manager called him and he returned to work.

Officers confronted the man about the warrant and he jumped over the counter and ran. A security guard working at H&M saw the man run and tackled him to the ground.
The man was charged with fleeing police and obstructing official business and was arrested.
