Beachwood Place Mall shoppers should get used to the bright store with all the gadgets. Microsoft has announced that is extending its retail stores, including the Beachwood Place location, into 2013. There are 34 such stores in the U.S. and Canada. The company initially said the stores would be around just for the holidays. Microsoft has not specified how long into the new year the stores will remain. Also, some stores could permanent fixture, but it remains unclear if Beachwood is one of them. The stores opened on Oct. 26, around the same time the corporation released its Surface tablet. "We deliberately chose high-traffic malls and locales like Beachwood Place to bring an assortment of Microsoft best-in-class products and a premium retail experience to new locations," a company spokesman said at the time.
