Just before the city's regular council meeting on May 6, the economic development committee will get updated on the progress of the city's new <a href="http://visitbeachwoodohio.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Convention and Visitors' Bureau. </a> The bureau launched a website in October.  <a href="http://www.cleveland.com/beachwood/index.ssf/2013/04/putting_beachwood_on_the_map_v.html#incart_river" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Sun News reported earlier this week</a> that the bureau has seen a number of successes including getting Beachwood named in the latest edition of the Ohio Travel Planning Guide.  The economic development committee meets at 6 pm on May 6 in council chambers.
