University Hospitals Rehab Center Slated to Open Thursday

The facility will offer patients three hours of physical therapy per day.

There is a new rehabilitation center opening its doors in Beachwood.

University Hospitals is opening a new 50-bed rehabilitation facility is opening Thursday at 23333 Harvard Road, according to a press release.

The 53,000 square-foot facility cost $17 million.

The building is less than two miles from Ahuja Medical Center.

The rehab center is a joint venture with Nashville, Tenn.-based Centerre Healthcare Corp. Plans had originally scheduled an October opening.

Original estimates expected the project to provide 150 jobs to the city.

The facility will specilize in helping those who suffered brain trauma but will help with other special medical needs.
