When President Barack Obama makes his inaugural address on Monday, there will be at least two members of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights community in attendance.Ā
High school teacher Sean Brennan and middle school teacher Mike McNamara left for Washington D.C. on Saturday with Brennanās brother-in-law. Both teachers have attended Presidential Inaugurations beforeāMcNamara in 2009 and Brennan in 2009, 2005 and 2001ābut theyāre still excited.Ā

Brennan said Rep. Dave Joyce helped the two get their tickets this year, after Joyce visited Brennanās class in December.

Brennan, who calls himself a āhistory/political junkie,ā said he likes to see the U.S. political system in action. Rather than actually fighting over the top spot in power, the United States leaves it up to the voters.Ā
āItās just something we canāt take for granted,ā he said. Brennan, a Democrat, is also involved in politics himself, as the president of Parmaās City Council.Ā
