• Cleveland lakefront nonprofit picks DiGeronimo Development to lead work on 50-acre site (news5cleveland.com) — A Brecksville-based company, DiGeronimo Development, has been chosen to lead a massive 50-acre redevelopment of Cleveland’s lakefront, while it simultaneously advances the Valor Acres project at Miller and Brecksville roads. The plan could bring housing, parks, entertainment venues, and new infrastructure, tying Brecksville’s leading developer to one of Northeast Ohio’s most closely watched transformations. 
• Girls basketball scoreboard and top performers from Dec. 17 (cleveland.com subscription) — Brecksville’s girls basketball team, ranked No. 13 in the area, surged with a huge 23-point third quarter to beat No. 16 Hudson 59-48 after trailing at halftime. The roundup also highlights other top-ranked Northeast Ohio girls teams, giving local fans a sense of early-season momentum and competition.
