Christ Redeemer Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Brecksville opened it's doors in 1973.

It's a big year for Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Brecksville.

This year the church celebrates it's 40th anniversary and they have some big festivities planned to honor the occassion.

On Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. they will host "Celebrate the 70s With Music and Laughter", featuring free music and comedy, according to the Sun News.

Then on Sunday, May 5 at 10 a.m. there will be a special worship service followed by a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., the Sun reports. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for families.

The church was officially formed and recognized in May 1973.

"Come remember and celebrate our 40 years of praising God and serving others," the church said on its website.
