Dads and Daughters Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Brecksville Community Center

More than 125 daughters, fathers and grandfathers filed into the in their finest on Saturday for the annual Father-Daughter, Grandfather-Granddaughter dance, said Kelly McNeill, special events coordinator for the center. 

The center has been hosting the dance for the past five years, McNeill said, and it has always landed on the Saturday before Valentine’s Day. The room the dance was held in was decorated appropriately in pinks and reds to match the holiday.  

The young girls in attendance seemed to be having a good time, whether they were dancing with their dads to the Macarena, participating in a round of limbo or playing catch with the balloons scattered around the room. And, McNeill said with a smile, she thinks the dads and grandfathers are just as excited as their daughters and granddaughters.
