Filling Posts in the Brecksville Fire Department

On Monday night, one of those positions was officiallyĀ filled. Ā
Nikola Zamiska, a Brecksville firefighter, was sworn-in to replace Pristas, whoād been with the department for more than 30 years before retiring in December. Ā
City council OKād a resolution on Tuesday night. Ā
āWe had some very good candidates,ā said chief Ed Egut. āIt was a very difficult decision.ā Ā Two other firefighter posts remain open, but officials at city hall are looking to fill them, said Mayor Jerry Hruby.
