The 97th Garden Club of Ohio Convention was hosted by the Canton District on June 17-19, 2025 in Canton, Ohio. Chippewa members attended the convention, and also entered floral designs and horticulture entries in the flower show.
At the annual luncheon, the Garden Club of Ohio, Inc. presented Chippewa Garden Club with 9 FIRST Place, 8 SECOND Place, 3 THIRD Place, and 3 HONORABLE MENTION awards, which honored the club a FIRST PLACE winner in the “Outstanding Garden Club Award” in a medium size club.
The National Garden Club, Inc., which hosts all the garden clubs in the 50 states, proudly presented Chippewa the “Club Standard Flower Show Award” for their 2024 flower show titled ‘Glimmer and Shimmer in the Garden’, along with two Certificates of Appreciation awards.
A tailgate party competition at the convention themed “Ohio State’s buffet table” was also put on by 4 clubs, with Chippewa receiving second place.
These awards were given for the many community programs and events Chippewa’s members provided throughout 2024.
