Q:Ā Tell us a little bit about how and when the photo was taken.

A:Ā This is a 'selfie' of me crawling around the ruins of a Franciscan Friary in Adare, Co. Limerick in March of 2010. I'm an art historian specializing in late medieval Irish art and was in Ireland in 2010 to finish up my dissertation research. These particular ruins are actually preserved as a garden folly on the grounds of a golf course, so I was also dodging flying golf balls when this picture was taken.

Gianna Palumbo's family was not available for an interview. But her photo was very popular among readers.Ā

Q: How do you plan to celebrate St. Pat's day this weekend?

A:Ā We will be going to church in the morning. Then we will meet up with some other families and spend the afternoon in downtown Kent.

Q:Ā Tell us a little bit about how and when the photo was taken.

A:Ā I bought each of my 3 children a little "St. Patrick's Day swag" last year. Chris is such a fun kid. He picked the hat with the beard. He likes to be goofy ...and he admires anyone who can "grow epic facial hair."
(We took this picture at our house in our family room.)

Q: How do you plan to celebrate St. Pat's day this weekend?

A:Ā I will be guest bartending at the Claddagh Irish Pub, slinging Guinness and many other delicious drinks. Stop by and say hello! :-)

Q:Ā Tell us a little bit about how and when the photo was taken.

A:Ā I served/bartended/and managed at the Claddagh Irish Pub for the first 5 years of its existence (2003-2008). I have been asked to guest bartend every St. Patrick's Day since then. The Mooney's were my "regulars", who became friends, and they visit me every year on St. Paddy's Day. The photo was taken at the Claddagh Irish Pub, on St. Paddy's Day 2011.
