Marc’s Sunday Wine Sales: On the Ballot

For voters in Brecksville’s precinct G, there’s an extra item on the ballot: Whether the future Marc’s store on Chippewa Road should be able to sell wine and mixed beverages on Sundays.

The store has already applied for permits to allow beer and wine sales, but a D6 permit—the one allowing Sunday sales of wine—requires approval of local residents, Terri Kauffman, administrative assistant to Marc’s advertising director, said in an email. The store wants to be able to stay competitive with other local retailers that have Sunday sales.  

The issue, Issue 27 on the ballot, would allow sales at Marc’s between 10 a.m. and midnight on Sundays.
