Plans for Woodlands of Snowville Subdivision Moving Forward
The city's planning commission approved the first couple phases of the project in May. And on Tuesday, the plan took another step with council's approval.

The plan to build dozens of new homes in Brecksville took another step forward this week.
City council OKād an easement for the installation and maintenance of a water main for circulation purposes for theĀ first phase of the Woodlands of Snowville project.

Developers want to see how the first project ā with a total of 55 homes ā goes before proposing any additional plans.
The city āĀ as well as theĀ US Army Corps of EngineersĀ āĀ approved Phase 1 (28 homes) and Phase 1A (27 homes).

Construction could begin soon.
The project is located on Snowville Road, about a mile east of Brecksville Road.
Mayor Jerry Hruby said recently that the city has nearly reached its development potential.
City councilman Mike Harwood agreed.
āThe reality is that (the developers) own the property, it is zoned residential,ā he said. āItās the responsibility of the city to do the best for the property and to make sure itās developed properly.ā
This isnāt the first time the project was proposed to the city.
Both the city council and the planning commission OKād the plans for a new subdivision back in 2008, before withdrawing the plans in 2012.
