Dominique Moceanu Tells Her Family's Adoption Story at Adoption Network Event

Moceanu, who considers Gymnastics World in Broadview Heights a second home, discovered she had an adopted sister when she was a young adult thanks to birth records, our partners at WEWS Channel 5 report.

Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Moceanu and her sister, Jen Bricker, might never have met if adoption records weren't available to them, according to WEWS Channel 5.Ā

The sisters were the featured speakers at last week's International Conference on Adoption in Cleveland last week.

Moceanu, a 1996 Olympic gold medal winner, now lives in the greater Cleveland area and considers the Ganims ofĀ Broadview Heights’ Gymnastics WorldĀ an extended family. She came to the area for the man who is now her husband, Michael Canales, aĀ Brecksville-Broadview HeightsĀ graduate and former gymnast.Ā
