The Better Business Bureau’s Cleveland office urges residents to assume suspicious offers are scams, avoid clicking ad or social media links, verify sites directly, and always pay with credit cards instead of debit or gift cards to protect their money.
   

• Mother and daughter flee police in car with three tires: Independence Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — An Independence police blotter item notes a crash where a Broadview Heights police cruiser was struck by another vehicle on Pleasant Valley Road, with the other driver arrested on OVI-related charges. The report also details two separate impaired-driving incidents in Independence, including a car missing a tire and a driver found passed out outside a hotel.
