• Crawford Park District announces one-day closure of Sears Woods for controlled deer hunt (crawfordcountynow.com) — Access to Sears Woods State Nature Preserve near Bucyrus will be completely closed on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, for a controlled deer hunt limited to pre-selected hunters only. The Crawford Park District says the closure is for safety and will reopen the preserve on Sunday, Dec. 21, so Bucyrus-area visitors should adjust weekend hiking or nature plans accordingly.
   

• Governor DeWine announces new job-creating project for Logan County (peakofohio.com) — A major expansion at Imasen Bucyrus Technology will bring 170 new jobs and over $7.7 million in annual payroll to Bucyrus, backed by a state Job Creation Tax Credit. The project adds a new facility focused on electric-vehicle seat mechanisms and related components. It’s part of a broader statewide package of 17 projects aimed at boosting Ohio’s manufacturing and tech sectors.
