• Loans available for drought recovery (farmanddairy.com) — Farmers and small businesses in Carroll County are now eligible for federal drought-recovery help, including USDA emergency loans and SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans after this year’s severe dry spell. Local producers have until May 22, 2026 to seek USDA assistance, while qualifying non-farm small businesses can apply for low-interest SBA loans to cover operating costs.
