• Sidney man found not guilty of assault (sidneydailynews.com) — A jury in Celina’s Mercer County Common Pleas Court acquitted a Sidney man of two attempted felonious assault charges after a brief one-day trial. The case stemmed from an August incident in a Celina alleyway involving an alleged altercation during a child exchange, which was investigated by Celina police and captured on nearby video.
   

• Wayne Fisher (dailystandard.com) — Celina is mourning longtime resident Wayne Fisher, 80, whose visitation and funeral will be held this Friday and Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. A Celina High School graduate, Vietnam veteran, and longtime Reynolds & Reynolds employee and Celina school bus driver, he was deeply involved in local groups and loved cheering on the Celina Bulldogs and supporting his grandchildren.
