- Cincinnati's Douglas Evans has been ordered to pay a $550,000 civil penalty and clean up his illegally discarded waste. Evans used his four businesses to illegally dispose of waste at properties on Mount Carmel Road, Broadwell Road, and Round Bottom Road. A quarter of the civil penalty will be awarded to the Little Miami Conservancy. (Ohio Attorney General)
- The City of Cincinnati's Department of Economic Inclusion's Business Enterprise Event on Friday supported local small businesses. Mayor Aftab Pureval attended the event along with various other local leaders. The event was unique because it had larger businesses coming out to meet the smaller businesses - typically it is the other way around. (WCPO.com)
- The Cincinnati Bengals were able to beat the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night. The score was 27-15 and the Bengals showed that they could come back from their 0-2 season start. Next week, the Bengals will be playing Baltimore. If they can win, they will be leading the AFC North. (Subscription: Cincinnati.com)
