Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has announced that he will be appealing a Hamilton County judge's order blocking Ohio's six-week abortion ban. The appeal brief has not been made available online yet. Judge Christian Jenkins ruled on Oct. 7 that Ohio residents had the right to abortion services since they were healthcare. The state passed the abortion ban in 2019 but it was blocked until the U.S. Supreme Court's decision on Jun. 24 to reverse Roe v. Wade. (Cincinnati CityBeat)
- A Cincinnati man has been charged with animal cruelty. Amani Ciers, 29 years old, admitted to law enforcement that he drowned and dissected his pet dog. Ciers showed law enforcement the dog's remains. His bond has been set at $100,000. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- The new Samuel Adamas mural at the brewery in Over-the-Rhine is ArtWorks' largest mural yet. The mural is titled "Cheers to Cincy, Brewing the American Dream." It was unveiled on Thursday. Tom Post designed and created the 10,000-foot mural. (Cincinnati CityBeat)
