Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Duke Energy will be sending 700 line workers, including some Cincinnatti employees, down to Florida to help prepare for power outages that may occur. They are sending lineworkers, tree professionals, and damage and support personnel to assist in restoring power in affected regions. In addition to this, the company will also be sending 10,000 line workers from other regions to aid in reducing the damage that may occur from the natural disaster. (FOX19)
  2. In a collaboration with Operation Ramp It Up, the Cincinnati Bengals will honor and provide accessibility to military veterans this season. In addition to having players assist in building ramps for those who need them, they will also be honoring veterans during their Nov. 6 game, where each player will have a veteran they are paired with during player introductions. The team is committed to its initiative to give back and connect with the community this year. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
  3. There will be a Dino and Dragon Stroll event taking place at the Duke Energy Convention Center this weekend! Not only will the event feature exhibits and rides that emulate life-sized dinosaurs, but the event is also partnering with a local food bank, and will have an optional non-perishable food donation box at the door. Tickets are $19.99 and the event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2. Those interested can learn more and buy tickets here. (Cincinnati Refined)
