Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- A free school supply facility in Cincinnati is open for teachers. At The Crayons to Computers Teacher Resource Center in Bond Hill, teachers pay a one-time access fee of around $30 per school year, which lets them take ten shopping trips to the store during the year. On average, teachers pick up about $500 worth of supplies per trip. The store operates fully on donations β click here to donate. (Hamilton Journal News)
- A Cincinnati teen is recovering after a tree fell on top of him at a birthday party. 13-year-old Lucas Cirivello is fighting to regain his strength after the accident, which caused him to suffer a small brain bleed, fractured neck, broken nose, and fractured face. According to Lucasβs mom, Jenn Phillips, "he was at a friend's house and climbing on this obstacle course and then ... the fell backward and then the tree from my understanding fell on him." - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Cincinnati seized $6.88 million worth of counterfeit jewelry. On Friday and Saturday, three shipments of jewelry and watches from Hong Kong, including 500 counterfeit Cartier bracelets, 13 fake Rolex watches, and 275 Cartier Love bracelets, were seized. The items were deemed fake by The Centers of Excellence and Expertise. (FOX19)
