Police investigate string of break-ins targeting Clifton businesses (fox19.com) — Clifton business owners are on edge after four shops along Ludlow Avenue were hit in a string of holiday weekend break-ins, with losses ranging from stolen cash to thousands in damage. Cincinnati police are investigating possible ties to similar incidents in Northside as merchants upgrade alarms and push for more cameras and community safety discussions.
   

2. TriHealth contract with UnitedHealthcare set to expire Wednesday (fox19.com) — If you’re a TriHealth patient with UnitedHealthcare in Cincinnati, your hospital and doctors could be out-of-network as soon as Jan. 1 unless a last-minute deal is reached. Both sides are blaming each other over prices, while patients—especially those with serious conditions—are urged to check coverage, ask about continuity-of-care options, and prepare for possible provider changes.

5. 'We have to be vigilant': Multiple Jewish institutions in Tri-State sent threats (local12.com) — Several Jewish institutions in the Cincinnati region, including a Hamilton synagogue, received emailed threats that police ultimately deemed not credible, but still deeply unsettling for local Jews. Leaders from the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and the American Jewish Committee’s Cincinnati office say rising antisemitism is changing how many residents live day to day, and they’re urging education, vigilance, and reporting of suspicious incidents.
