- King Records Studio buildings in Cincinnati have been added to the National Register of Historic Places. The status update will provide certain tax credits, easements, and grants for those developing the property. From the 1940s into the early 1970s, King Records produced James Brown, Bootsy Collins, Philip Paul, and Otis Williams. (Cincinnati CityBeat)
- A resident at Alms Hill Apartments is accused of firing a rifle in the complex as well as across Victory Parkway. On Monday, Demarcus King was brought into custody by police and dubbed “a substantial risk of physical harm to property.” Court documents state that the shooting incident was captured on security cameras. - On Monday night, the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education voted to continue using school resource officers (SROs) from the Cincinnati Police Department in school buildings. In a six-to-one vote during the Sep. 12 meeting, board member Mike Moroski was the lone vote against the practice. According to the department, CPD has the third-oldest SRO program in the nation. - The Cincinnati Art Museum offers the Flo Koetters CPS program to fourth graders in the area. The goal is for students to connect with the museum, particularly the Cincinnati Wing, as they study their Ohio history unit. This is the first year the program will be held in person. - On Tuesday morning, I-75 experienced delays and blockages due to a crash blocking the southbound lane. The crash was reported around 8:45 a.m. Traffic was backed up to the Davis Street/Wyoming Avenue exit with delays exceeding 20 minutes. No injuries were reported in relation to the crash.
