  1. Wildly popular local restaurant LaRosa's Family Pizzeria is reopening its flagship West Side Restaurant. The pizzeria has undergone a $1 million transformation and overhaul. The project left the restaurant shut down for three months, but the owners say it's been well worth the effort. LaRosa's will reopen on Oct. 17. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  2. BLINK is back, and there's so much to see it's hard to keep track. The Cincinnati-area festival runs over 30 blocks, and there are tons of immersive exhibits to explore. If you're looking for what to do, this list of must-see exhibits and events will help you have an unforgettable BLINK experience. (The Cincinnati Enquirer)
  3. A security guard prevented a potential shooting at Dohn High School. According to officials, a relative of one of the students entered the campus with a loaded gun and aimed it directly at another student. Security guard Charles McGee was able to get the would-be shooter to lower his weapon, preventing a potentially deadly situation. The school regularly has staff engage in active shooter drills.
