Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. A Cincinnati man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for selling fentanyl to a teenager. The teen almost died of an overdose in 2019. Marcus Phoenix, 33 years old, sold the teen fentanyl instead of Percocet. Phoenix was arrested in 2019 and pleaded guilty in 2021. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  2. Cincinnati's giant Christmas tree arrives this weekend. The tree, which will be 45 feet tall, will arrive downtown on Saturday morning. It will be installed on the southwest corner of the square. The concolor fir is the effective centerpiece of the city's holiday season and traditions. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  3. The Cincinnati Metro will be transitioning to discounted rides for University of Cincinnati students. The rides will cost $1 — half the typical fare price. The discounted tickets will be available through the EZfare app. Click for qualification information. (The News Record)
