Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. After two years of construction, the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center has opened its new Creativity Center. The new center is 10,000 square feet and offers a studio space that can accommodate up to 80 students at a time. Local artists will be at the center from time to time to interact with guests. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
  2. The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on I-75 on Friday evening near Cincinnati. The crash involved three school buses that were transporting a high school football team. Eight individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment. No serious injuries occurred during the crash. (WANE)
  3. A Hamilton County judge has set a $100,000 bond for a woman accused of murdering her five-month-old daughter. Rebecca King allegedly killed Lily Johnson on Oct. 8 by blunt impact. She is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. Law enforcement is still investigating the death. (FOX19)

Patch deal of the day:

Good knives make all the difference in the kitchen, but you don’t need to overpay for them. Seido Japanese knives are made with strong high-carbon stainless steel (high-carbon knives are more durable and usually more expensive) and have an acute 15-degree angle for a noticeably sharper cutting face (most Western-style knives have edge angles of 25 degrees). For a limited time, Patch readers can get a 5-piece Seido Japanese master knife set for 71 percent off. At just under $70, this chef-quality set is perfect for any home cook and would also make a great gift for the holidays.
