Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Kroger's newest store concept is being tested in the Greater Cincinnati area. The new concept is described as the "store of the future.” The Kroger off of Heritage Green Drive in Monroe is allowing customers to use carts with built-in scales and cameras. The new carts will allow shoppers to skip the checkout lane. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval has given hip-hop legend Common the key to the city. The award was presented to Common on Oct. 25 at Cincinnati Pops. The key is a symbolic gesture awarded to visitors and residents of esteemed importance. (Cincinnati CityBeat)
- The City of Cincinnati is considering a proposal that would move Trick-or-Treating to the weekend evenings. The move would be permanent and is meant to protect local children from pedestrian crashes. The Cincinnati City Council assures the community that the move will be made only "if the community has a shared interest." (Fox 19)
