Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Cincinnati's Shelby Dennis has helped the Kennesaw State Owls win two games so far this volleyball season. The Owls won 3-1 over North Alabama on Sep. 23 and 3-2 over Central Arkansas on Sep. 24. Dennis, a senior, totaled 46 digs over the two games, including a new career-high of 27 in one game against UNA, for a 6.75 dps average in the match. She also added two aces and seven assists in the conference opening victory. (KSU Owls)
- Local man Christopher Lackey has been arrested for threatening to strangle one of his sisters. Police say he called the sister while she was shopping in Western Hills. Lackey also appeared in court in July for shooting a woman's car windshield five times after allegedly threatening to shoot her. He is being held on $60,000 bond. (Local 12)
- Area woman Kiara Neel is accused of shooting her boyfriend and firing shots at his estranged wife at a Roselawn nightclub. The estranged wife of Neel's boyfriend said she was leaving Brandy's Lounge the bar when she argued with her ex. After the estranged wife threw a drink in Neel's face, Neel responded by firing a round. Neel continued to fire several shots, hitting her boyfriend. (Local 12)
