Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- A report from Niche, a market leader in connecting colleges and schools with students and families, ranked the University of Cincinnati as No. 45 among the best public colleges in the United States. The university offered over 300 majors to choose from and had over 47,900 students enrolled for the 2022 fall semester – its largest enrollment in history. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Amazon founder Jeff Bezos donated $5 million to Strategies to End Homelessness, a service that works with 30 nonprofit organizations to end homelessness in Cincinnati. According to Strategies to End Homelessness President/CEO Kevin Finn, the grant will be used for the most cost-effective solutions, and the nonprofit will work with partners in the area to decide the best way to spend the funding. - According to police, a 15-year-old boy was shot in Walnut Hills on Saturday. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the incident and have no suspect at this time. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
