Bomb Squad On Scene After Suspicious Duffel Bag Found At East 55th Street RTA Rapid Station
The RTA Blue, Green and Red line trains are not running between Tower City and East 79th Street; buses are transporting riders on closed lines

RTA has announced that a suspicious package -- identified as a duffel bag by NewsNet5 -- was found in the East 55th Street Rapid transit station before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
That station, along with nearby RTA buildings, were evacuated this morning.
The bomb squad were called to the station but have since said the building is safe.

The I-490 entrance ramp from East 55th was also temporarily closed and the area of East 55th and Woodland was cordoned also, according to WKYC.
When the bag was discovered, the RTA stopped all trains east of Tower City (Red Line, Blue and Green.)

However, since then, the RTA has restarted all train lines.
