• Interim Cleveland Heights Mayor Tony Cuda gives send-off for transitional government (cleveland.com) — Cleveland Heights residents are getting a new mayor after Tony Cuda wrapped up a turbulent three-month stint as interim leader by stabilizing City Hall, rehiring key staff, and advancing a 2026 budget. He also moved Park Synagogue redevelopment forward, reopened the Heights High pool to the public, expanded leaf pickup, and set aside $500,000 for long-awaited safety fixes at the Fairmount-Taylor intersection.
   

• New behavioral health crisis center coming in 2026 (news5cleveland.com) — MetroHealth’s Psychiatric Emergency Department in Cleveland Heights is closing at year’s end, even as Cuyahoga County prepares a new behavioral health crisis center at the former St. Vincent campus for 2026. Local providers warn that county budget cuts are already shrinking crisis programs, so residents in Cleveland Heights and nearby communities may face longer waits and fewer options during mental health emergencies.
