Heights Trash Day Changing, City Closer To Automated Pickup

If you find a yellow door hanger at your home, your trash day could be changing soon.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” Trash day is changing for some Cleveland Heights residents.

During the week of April 4, if you find a yellow door hanger at your residence, it means your trash day is changing. All changes will be indicated on the hanger and the change will go into effect during the week of April 11.

The changes are the result of Cleveland Heights' transition to automated refuse collection. Residents should begin receiving their new trash and recycling carts in mid-April. Once all the carts are delivered, automated trash collection can begin.

A city official promised to release more information on the roll-out closer to the transition date.

The city's online trash collection map will be updated on April 8 to reflect the new collection schedules. Residents can also check their trash collection day by entering their address into the map after April 8.
