Licking County Humane Society faces strain after rescuing over 20 dogs (abc6onyourside.com) — More than 20 miniature dachshunds and other dogs rescued to the Licking County Humane Society in Columbus are safe but creating a serious financial strain on the shelter. With up to 40 more dogs possibly arriving soon, staff are treating medical issues and preparing some for adoption while asking the community for donations to cover exams, vaccines, and surgeries.
