Council also backed a Highpoint Road sewer extension, tax receipt advances, a South Main Street land sale, and named a new community development director as longtime leaders prepare to depart.

• New AI system takes Akron's non-emergency calls (spectrumnews1.com) — Cuyahoga Falls residents’ 911 calls are handled through the Summit Emergency Communications Center, which is funded by countywide 911 fees and now works alongside Akron’s new AI assistant for non-emergency calls. While the AI system “Ava” currently answers Akron’s non-emergency line, the funding and dispatch structure described here directly affects how calls from Falls, Stow, Tallmadge, and neighboring communities are routed and supported.
