Officers shared a description of Jaykob’s clothing and physical appearance and provided phone numbers and an anonymous tip website so Dayton-area residents can quickly report any information that might help bring the teen home safely.
   

2. Ohio distillery owner declares bankruptcy amid fraud charges, partner lawsuits (kentucky.com) — A.M. Scott Distillery, based in Dayton, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, reporting millions in debt and less than $500,000 in assets while planning to keep the brand alive. The company, which sells its whiskey only in Ohio, is also facing fraud-related criminal charges against its owner and multiple lawsuits tied to stalled restaurant and venue projects in nearby communities.
   

3. Dayton humane society breaks adoption record (daytondailynews.com) — The Humane Society of Greater Dayton just set a new adoption record, finding homes for nearly 3,000 animals in 2025 with a day still left in the year. Expanded intake, transfers, and a robust foster network powered the milestone, and the group is urging Miami Valley residents to keep adopting, fostering, and volunteering into 2026.
