• Top bypass route runs below Ashley (delgazette.com) — A major state study has identified a preferred new connector between U.S. 23 and I-71 running along the Delaware/Marion/Morrow county line, with several options fully or partly in Delaware County. Routes near Ashley, Sunbury, Kilbourne, and the Olentangy River could reshape traffic, farmland, and local travel times, though legislators say funding for construction is not yet in place. 
• Lake Sturgeon Return To Four Ohio Rivers (1808delaware.com) — Lake sturgeon are being reintroduced to four Ohio rivers, including the Scioto, which flows straight through Delaware County and could one day host these giant native fish again. Biologists released tagged juveniles this fall to track their survival, with hopes that future generations will return to spawn in healthier, restored waterways across the state.
