Despite the tax trouble, he says all three Hot Dog Shoppe locations, including East Liverpool’s longtime favorite, will stay open while payment plans and corrections are worked out.

2. 120-year-old building restoration underway in East Liverpool (wkbn.com) — A major makeover of the historic McCrory’s building in downtown East Liverpool is underway, with plans for a coffee shop, golf simulators, kids’ play areas and even possible condos. Owner Eli Murphy hopes the multiuse space, including music, art and a bike shop tied to the city’s trail, will give residents a safe, shared place to relax and connect.

3. Columbiana County Educational Service Center robotics leagues (reviewonline.com) — East Liverpool students are competing this season in all three Columbiana County Educational Service Center robotics leagues, from elementary through high school. Local teams are already through their first round of challenges and will continue in additional rounds before county finals in February, giving East Liverpool kids a chance to sharpen STEM skills and represent their schools.

HOLTON: President Trump Takes a Much Needed Step on Fentanyl (thehayride.com) — A past fentanyl exposure involving an East Liverpool police officer is used as a vivid example in a strongly pro-Trump commentary arguing that fentanyl should be treated as a potential weapon of mass destruction.
