• BODYCAM: 15-year-old shoplifting suspect leads chase through Garfield Heights neighborhood (cleveland19.com) — A 15-year-old reportedly led Garfield Heights police on a brief foot chase through snowy neighborhood yards after a shoplifting incident, with the pursuit captured on body camera. Officers caught the teen within seconds, though police have not said what was allegedly stolen. The department later praised the officers’ persistence despite the frigid, snowy conditions.
   

• Mother and daughter flee police in car with three tires: Independence Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — An Independence police stop of a heavily damaged car missing a tire led to citations for an allegedly impaired driver whose passenger believed they were in Garfield Heights. Officers later gave the passenger a courtesy ride to a Garfield Heights residence, where she reportedly became disruptive and was taken for treatment. Other Independence incidents that night also involved suspected impaired drivers.
