• Hilliard Honors MLK's Legacy with Heart For Service and Volunteer Fair on January 19 (hoodline.com) — Hilliard residents are invited to honor Dr. King at the MLK Heart For Service and Volunteer Fair on Monday, Jan. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Well on Cosgray Road. You can assemble birthday bags and no-sew fleece blankets, buy student-made bowls benefiting the Hilliard Food Pantry, enjoy a Kiwanis-prepared lunch, and connect directly with local nonprofits.
   

• Community rallies to replace toys after sewage leak damaged Norwich Township fire station donations (10tv.com) — Families in Hilliard should know the community has already replaced and even tripled the toys lost in a sewage leak at Norwich Township’s Station 83, ensuring local kids still get gifts. Donations filled a bus and trucks headed to Hilliard Food Pantry Plus, which now expects to serve about 1,200 children. Organizers suggest any further giving go directly to the pantry or another charity.
   

• Report links Amazon data center to rare cancers in Ohio (newsnationnow.com) — Hilliard residents live near one of central Ohio’s major data center clusters, now under scrutiny after a report linked Amazon facilities elsewhere to miscarriages and rare cancers. Experts and activists are raising questions about air and water impacts, while Amazon and Ohio EPA outline safeguards and a proposed new discharge permit. Public comments on that permit are open through Dec. 17.
