• New details emerge after the OHSAA's investigation into Ironton's football program (wsaz.com) — Ironton school leaders are responding to OHSAA sanctions that fined the district and removed the Fighting Tigers from this year’s football playoffs after recruiting violations were found. An outside attorney advised against suing, warning that further violations could even threaten Ironton’s OHSAA membership, while Superintendent Sommer McCorkle promises “systemic changes” to protect student-athletes and restore trust.
