Kent's 'Festival Of Lights: Santa Comes To Town' Kicks Off Dec. 2
Kent's annual "Festival of Lights: Santa Comes to Town" kicks of Saturday, Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m.

KENT, OH -- The Kent Area Chamber of Commerce announced that it is hosting the Festival of Lights Saturday, Dec. 2 in downtown Kent. Santa will arrive by train, and there will caroling, cocoa and more. Guests can also stroll along the avenue and check out local shops. From 5:30 to 6 p.m. the Dickens Carolers from The Light in Kent Church will perform from 4 to 8 p.m., and from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered. Santa Claus is expected to arrive at 6 p.m. by train.
The Kent Free Library and Acorn Alley will continue their tradition of handing out books to children once they visit with Santa. Donations will be accepted to help defer the cost of the books. Checks can be made out to the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce and mailed to: 176 East Main St., Kent, OH 44240.
The event will take place at the Hometown Bank Plaza, Gazebo, near the Main Street Bridge.
