Lane Closures Continue for South Water Downtown

Lane restrictions and parking closures on South Water Street downtown will continue at least until Friday, Dec. 16.

The city notified residents and media of the third extension for underground utility work on South Water Street between Erie Street and Haymaker Parkway this afternoon.

Underground utility work for the downtown redevelopment project is creating lane restrictions and closing on-street parking on that stretch of the road from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. All lanes and parking open after 5 p.m. and on weekends.

The utility work initially was expected to wrap up before Thanksgiving.
