New Daycare Coming to North Mantua Plaza
Kent zoning board approved variance for new business
A new daycare facility is in the works for the plaza on North Mantua Street between the and gas stations.
The Kent Board of Zoning Appeals granted a variance for the new daycare at 830 N. Mantua St. during its meeting this month.
The new daycare, called Agez and Stagez, got approval for its plans from the Kent Planning Commission in September, so the business only has to file for building permits before renovations can be made and the business can open.

Leslie Coggins, the owner of the daycare, could not be reached for comment.
The new daycare is designed for 39 children with ages ranging from infant to school-age, according to Coggins' zoning application filed with the city.
