Police Search for Suspects in Check Into Cash Robbery
Two men robbed the Check Into Cash store in the Acme plaza Wednesday
The Portage County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men who robbed the store on S.R. 59 just outside the city limits Wednesday.
The two men entered the store, armed with guns, at 1677 E. Main St. in Franklin Township just before 10:30 Wednesday morning. Only the store's clerk was inside at the time.
The men demanded to know where the store's money was at, and one suspect forced the woman to the back of the store while the other searched the front for cash, according to the sheriff's office.

"When this was unsuccessful, the clerk was brought back up to the front of the business," according to the sheriff's office. "At this time the other subject had located some cash that was in another location. The clerk was then escorted to the back of the business where she was put in a bathroom and the subjects closed the door."
The clerk activated the store's burglary alarm after the men left. It's unknown if they left in a car or on foot.
