Snapshot: Alley 4 Facelift

The $1 million , running between and connecting South Water and South DePeyster streets, is progressing smoothly.

The project, expected to be done in October, includes the alley's repaving but also encompasses the burying of utility lines in the alley and throughout the .

Curbs will be added to the alley, which will be improved with a 12-foot travel lane for cars and a 4-foot walkway for pedestrians on both sides of the alley. The car and pedestrian lanes will be identified with different color pavement and texture in the pavement surfaces.
