Snapshot: Fairchild Avenue Bridge
The bridge itself is mostly finished; remaining work involves other parts of the $23 million project
The new Fairchild Avenue Bridge is nearly complete, but much work remains on the $23 million project — including demolition of the Crain Avenue Bridge.
Other parts of the project that remain include:
- New pavement on North Water Street must be set. That .
- Work on the new service entrance for the must be finished.
- Railroad signals for the new railroad crossing on North Water Street must be installed by the railroad.
- The concrete approach aprons to the bridge must be poured.
- New traffic signals must be installed and tested for the new intersection where the bridge intersects with North Water Street.
