South Water Property Owner Nailed for Unpaid Fines
City will pass on fees to county to be added to property tax bill

The house at 932 S. Water St. is one of owed the city that will be passed on to the county to be added to the property tax bill.
The city fined owner Heidrun Hultgren $300 for property maintenance code violations. The fines were delinquent as of December 2010.
Bridget Susel, acting head of , said the homeowner was cited for numerous property maintenance violations – several of which still exist.

Among the issues in the original complaint were peeling and missing paint, plastic sheeting covering a portion of the roof, downspouts not connected to gutters and the premise identification numbers not being visible from the street.
Susel said the property also had "extreme vegetative overgrowth" in the front yard that was extending into the public right-of-way. The vegetation has since been trimmed back somewhat from the public sidewalk.
